Crypto Services Terms

These Crypto Services Terms apply to users who access or use cryptocurrency and digital-asset services provided through the FlowAfric platform.

1. Crypto Services

Subject to eligibility, availability, applicable laws, and FlowAfric's compliance requirements, FlowAfric may provide cryptocurrency-related functionality including:

  • Holding supported digital assets
  • Receiving supported digital assets
  • Sending supported digital assets
  • Supported crypto deposits
  • Supported crypto withdrawals
  • Peer-to-peer (P2P) crypto trading between eligible users

The availability of specific digital assets, networks, transaction types, and features may change at any time.

FlowAfric does not currently operate a public cryptocurrency exchange or provide investment, financial, tax, or legal advice.

2. Eligibility and Verification

Access to crypto services may require additional identity, compliance, and security checks.

Depending on the transaction or service, FlowAfric may require:

  • Identity verification
  • AML screening
  • Sanctions screening
  • Wallet screening
  • Fraud and risk checks
  • Source-of-funds or source-of-wealth checks
  • Enhanced due diligence
  • Other verification required by FlowAfric, its financial or compliance partners, or applicable law

FlowAfric may restrict or refuse access to crypto services where verification requirements are not satisfied.

3. Peer-to-Peer Trading

FlowAfric may allow eligible users to buy or sell supported digital assets directly with other users through P2P functionality.

Users are responsible for reviewing and confirming all trade information before completing a transaction.

This includes verifying:

  • Asset
  • Amount
  • Price
  • Counterparty
  • Payment information
  • Transaction status
  • Any applicable fees

FlowAfric may monitor P2P activity for fraud prevention, AML compliance, sanctions screening, security, and other lawful purposes.

Suspicious, fraudulent, disputed, or potentially non-compliant trades may be delayed, reviewed, restricted, canceled, or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable law and platform procedures.

4. Crypto Transactions

Users are responsible for ensuring that all crypto transaction information is correct before confirming a transaction.

This includes:

  • Wallet address
  • Blockchain network
  • Digital asset
  • Transaction amount
  • Destination

Users must only use supported assets and supported blockchain networks.

Sending an asset through an incompatible or unsupported network may result in permanent loss of funds.

5. Blockchain Transactions

Blockchain transactions are processed through decentralized blockchain networks and may be subject to network congestion, technical failures, validator activity, protocol changes, and other conditions outside FlowAfric's control.

Once a blockchain transaction has been confirmed on the relevant network, it may be irreversible.

FlowAfric cannot guarantee that a transaction can be canceled, reversed, recovered, or modified after it has been submitted to a blockchain network.

FlowAfric is not responsible for losses resulting from:

  • Incorrect wallet addresses
  • Unsupported blockchain networks
  • Incorrect asset selection
  • User errors
  • Blockchain network failures
  • Network congestion
  • Blockchain protocol changes
  • Third-party infrastructure failures

6. Crypto Deposits and Withdrawals

Crypto deposits and withdrawals are subject to supported assets, supported networks, transaction limits, applicable fees, compliance requirements, and blockchain network availability.

A crypto deposit may not be credited if:

  • The wrong asset is sent
  • An unsupported network is used
  • The required transaction information is incorrect or missing
  • The transaction does not receive the required blockchain confirmations
  • The transaction is identified for compliance or security review

Crypto withdrawals may be delayed, restricted, or rejected where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, AML compliance, sanctions screening, regulatory requirements, or technical reasons.

7. Digital Asset Risks

Cryptocurrency and digital assets involve significant risks.

These may include:

  • Price volatility
  • Loss of value
  • Blockchain network failures
  • Network congestion
  • Irreversible transactions
  • Wallet security risks
  • Smart-contract or protocol risks where applicable
  • Regulatory changes
  • Loss resulting from user error
  • Loss of access to credentials or authentication methods

Users are solely responsible for understanding and accepting the risks associated with digital assets before using crypto services.

FlowAfric does not guarantee the value, price, liquidity, or future performance of any digital asset.

8. Third-Party Crypto Infrastructure

Certain crypto services may depend on third-party providers, custodial infrastructure, blockchain networks, wallet infrastructure, compliance providers, and other technology providers.

FlowAfric does not control independent blockchain networks and cannot guarantee their availability, performance, security, or continued operation.

Third-party services may be subject to their own terms, policies, technical limitations, and operational risks.

9. Compliance and Transaction Monitoring

FlowAfric may monitor crypto transactions and activity to detect and prevent:

  • Fraud
  • Money laundering
  • Terrorist financing
  • Sanctions violations
  • Stolen or illicit assets
  • Other unlawful or prohibited activity

FlowAfric may conduct wallet screening, transaction monitoring, risk assessments, or enhanced compliance reviews.

Where required, FlowAfric may delay, restrict, freeze, reject, or report transactions or accounts in accordance with applicable law, regulatory requirements, or lawful requests.

10. Prohibited Crypto Activity

Users must not use FlowAfric crypto services to:

  • Facilitate illegal activity
  • Launder money
  • Finance terrorism
  • Evade sanctions
  • Use stolen or fraudulent funds
  • Conduct fraudulent P2P transactions
  • Circumvent FlowAfric transaction or compliance controls
  • Manipulate or exploit the platform
  • Engage in other activities prohibited by applicable law or FlowAfric policies

FlowAfric may take appropriate action where prohibited activity is suspected.

11. Fees

Crypto transactions may be subject to fees.

Applicable fees will be displayed through the FlowAfric platform where reasonably practicable before a transaction is confirmed.

Blockchain network fees or other third-party charges may also apply where applicable.

Fees may change from time to time.

12. No Investment or Financial Advice

FlowAfric does not provide investment, financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice through its crypto services.

Information displayed through FlowAfric should not be interpreted as a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or trade any cryptocurrency or digital asset.

Users are responsible for obtaining independent professional advice where necessary.

13. Regulatory Changes

Cryptocurrency and digital-asset regulations may change over time.

FlowAfric may modify, restrict, suspend, or discontinue crypto services where required by:

  • Applicable law
  • Regulatory requirements
  • Regulatory directives
  • Compliance obligations
  • Security concerns
  • Changes affecting third-party infrastructure or supported networks

14. Account Restrictions

Crypto access may be restricted or suspended independently of other FlowAfric services where necessary because of:

  • Compliance concerns
  • Fraud or suspected fraud
  • Security risks
  • Suspicious transactions
  • Regulatory requirements
  • Violation of these Crypto Terms
  • Violation of the FlowAfric Terms & Conditions

Where legally permitted, FlowAfric may provide appropriate information regarding restrictions.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, FlowAfric shall not be liable for losses arising from circumstances outside its reasonable control, including:

  • Blockchain network failures
  • Network congestion
  • Incorrect wallet addresses
  • Unsupported networks
  • User errors
  • Third-party infrastructure failures
  • Regulatory changes
  • Security incidents outside FlowAfric's reasonable control
  • Loss in the market value of digital assets

Nothing in these Crypto Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

16. Relationship with Other FlowAfric Terms

These Crypto Terms supplement the FlowAfric Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

If there is a conflict between these Crypto Terms and the general Terms & Conditions specifically concerning crypto services, these Crypto Terms will apply to the extent of that conflict.

17. Changes to These Crypto Terms

FlowAfric may update these Crypto Terms from time to time to reflect changes in crypto services, technology, applicable laws, regulatory requirements, or business operations.

Material changes may be communicated through the FlowAfric platform or other reasonable communication channels where appropriate.

Continued use of crypto services after the effective date of updated Crypto Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
